
Leila Fourie, who has been CEO of JSE Limited since 2019, will be stepping down at the end of March 2026. During her time as CEO, she led a number of key initiatives, including simplifying listing requirements, introducing new exchange-traded fund segments, and developing both a private markets platform and a voluntary carbon market.
Valdene Reddy, currently Head of Capital Markets at the JSE, will take over as CEO from 1 April 2026. Valdene has been with the JSE since 2015 and has held several leadership roles, most recently as Director of Capital Markets. She brings experience from both Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Renaissance Capital, and holds an actuarial science degree from the University of Cape Town.
